  1. As much as I love the Amulet series, my affection pales in comparison to my fourth grade readers Never has their been a series that they love as much as they love Amulet Both boy and girl readers are captivated by the work of Kazu Kibuishi.I have enjoyed all of the books in the Amulet series, with the first book being my favorite In my opinion Kazu takes it to the next level with book four The plot is well developed, the characters are taken to a deeper level, the architecture in Cielis is amazi [...]

  2. me and my friends during a test 3.5 stars trust your gut instinctsthe plot is finally taking us to the edge although I m still mystified on who s working for who and what the hell the elf king s real motives are, I m so happy to see emily finally embracing the amulet s power and taking full responsibility of setting things back to normal the the characters, the merrier the adventure is I love the forming bond between our characters as well as the sudden appearances of both allies and anti heroe [...]

  3. It keeps getting better and better I enjoyed book 4 than the previous ones The art, Fabulous as always and I still believe that the mom adds nothing to the series she needs to leave other than that brilliant Can t wait to see what will happen next.

  4. This series keeps getting better and better here The Lost city of Cialis is not he safe haven we were hoping for There are zombies in this one and the whole city is being jailed talk about big brother We meet another stone keeper, several actually Miskit and the other robot come back into the story.Emily is put through a trial she isn t really interested in She is trying to figure out how to be helpful and so far she simply has questions. The art continues to be fantastic I enjoy this story and [...]

  5. 2.5 starsQuite predictable and cheesy, but still a fun enough read The artwork, the world and the secondary characters were as great as usual Still didn t like Emily much, she was so bland and vanilla and always had the same attitude and facial expressions, not to mention the same power struggle amulet issues as the previous three volumes She was just dull and stagnant, her dialogue was blah and her actions were generic The story would have been much better if one of the secondary characters too [...]

  6. Emily and her friends find themselves in a new, strange land the city of Cieles It s a city rife with mystery It s got the trope y rulers who have mysteriously changed their ways for the worse But it s also got some sort of disease or virus that s causing the citizens to trust no one And then it s got these powerful people that seem to be controlled as if they re the puppets of some evil mastermind. It all sounds great, but unfortunately it just comes off as mysterious for no reason The story doe [...]

  7. GOD This series is getting better and better, especially the artworks Kazu Kibuishi is undoubtedly a very talented person He not only came up with a great fantasy fiction but also made the read enjoyable for the readers with his breathtaking illustrations I have even used those on my phone screen And I am sooooooo happy that Miskit and Cogsley are okay yeppiee _

  8. I still love the art work so much and the story is progressing nicely I will get Volume 5 soon I can only recommend this graphic novel series.

  9. Wasn t sure how this one was going to go but then it got a little THG up in here and things got awesome Another fantastic installment in this adventure packed series

  10. Emily continues to look for allies and travels to Cielis only to find there s something strange going on in the city Separated from her friends, she has to fight for a position on the Guardian Council and is transferred to the Void where she combats with other Stonekeepers to survive think the Hunger Games in outer space or be turned to stone. The book is as gorgeous as ever, there are illustrations of locations and cities that take your breath away, but there s also an scarier element to this bo [...]

  11. Back to the usual standard, thank goodness There was some great new twists in this one, and I loved learning of the origins of the stonekeepers and their council The art style blew me away again there were a lot double paged, full colour scenes than usual and bloody hell were they good or were they good I honestly would hang those pictures in my room, there are that stunning Cannot wait for the next volume now I m powering through this series much easily than I anticipated.

  12. WHATTTT I devour THIS BOOK Fear, deceit, control and WHAT Kill like The Hunger Games I said it KILL ok well turn them into STONE but shoot it s still no life in the body What ppl will do to get the Stone and control the Council Hmmm Anything Yep that sums it for me Sad I have to wait for the next one For the last 2 daysI m calling libraries like I lost my little marbles anyway it will be here when I get back.

  13. This series gets better with each volume I think it s a great read for anybody, especially people around my age and who love fantasy I cannot recommend this series enough

  14. My star rating Plot 4 5 Pacing 5 5 Characters 4 5World 4 5Romance N AArtwork 5 5 Enjoyment level 4 5 stars

  15. WOW, when I said to myself That Max seems shifty and power hungry I WAS NOT WRONG These are beautifully drawn, I m still very curious about the fate of this world and is this book saying that they re in space I m interested in the elvish court than I am most other things, the memory gaps are VERY WORRYING, prophecies that put children in charge of armies are bunk, and I m still not super drawn to stories whose thesis statement seems to be everyone will fail betray you.Points to mom for saying l [...]

  16. More new characters and challenges awaited our beloved amulet gang in this story As always, it was a bit predictable but with some twists I did not see coming at all The artwork is amazing, and I actually learned the creator of Amulet also illustrated the covers of the 15th anniversary paperback editions of Harry Potter which explains why I love the artwork so much On to book five soon

  17. Finally, a much better and fulfilling addition to the series Much of the previously awkward dialogue and the flaws that kept me from rating the previous novels higher has been smoothed over here to allow for a polished work of manga It does help the cause of these books when I can read them in thirty minutes I know this for a fact because I finished one last night during my thirty minute break So, perhaps one of the reasons for my disappointment in the past was the sense of awkward pacing in t [...]

  18. The fourth book in the Amulet series was just as enthralling as the previous three In this installment, the group makes new friends, finds new enemies, and faces betrayal and loss.I m still really enjoying the artwork in these books, the pictures are so expressive As a person who is fairly new to the graphic novel genre, I am not used to having a picture tell so much of the story without relying on words. This volume did not have as big of a cliffhanger as the last one, but you ll still be eager [...]

  19. This series keeps throwing me these little pieces of information throughout the novels and by the end the picture is huge and overwhelming Then I finish the next book and the picture is even overwhelming.I did feel like all I found out in this book was information I feel like it s ultimately just setting up for the next few books I was getting quite excited for the end, and then the author threw me another plot twist and all my hopes were dashed Though this book was grand, it was not quite wha [...]

  20. December 2nd, 2014 NOTEThis series is really popular at the school I m volunteering at for the library We were wondering what had happened to all the Amulet books so when this one came back before the first 2 volumes I read this in case I could not find this one later Then again that was before I realized it was only the 4th volume in the series lmao Very cute and whimsical read for sure.
